These Terms govern the use of The Rovers Travel & Tours ("The Rovers", "we") website and associated services. By using this site, you accept these Terms.
1. About us
The Rovers is a company headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa, operating tourism, transport, cleaning and digital marketing services across Southern Africa.
2. Use of the site
You can use the site for information, contact, newsletter subscription, tour guide registration, booking requests and access to the guide portal (where applicable).
You agree to:
- Provide true and up-to-date information.
- Not attempt to access restricted areas without authorisation.
- Not use the site for illegal purposes or to harm third parties.
3. Tour guide registration
Submitting the registration form does not guarantee approval. The Rovers reserves the right to approve, reject or request additional information based on its own criteria (experience, languages, documentation, availability).
Approved guides:
- Receive credentials for the guide portal.
- May be contacted for jobs.
- Must keep their profile up to date.
- May have their registration suspended or deleted in case of non-compliance.
4. Booking requests
A booking request submitted through the site does not constitute a contract. The Rovers contacts the client to confirm availability, final price and conditions. The contract is formed when both parties expressly confirm.
5. Payments
Prices shown are subject to change and may vary depending on season, number of people and specific conditions. Payments to guides are managed by The Rovers according to the agreement between the parties.
6. Intellectual property
The site content (text, logo, images) belongs to The Rovers or its respective owners. You may not reproduce, copy or redistribute without written authorisation.
Content submitted by users (guide profile, photos, community posts) remains the user's property, but you grant The Rovers a non-exclusive licence to use it within the context of the service.
7. Liability
The Rovers strives for accurate information but does not guarantee the absence of errors. The Rovers is not responsible for:
- Decisions taken based solely on site information.
- Third-party conduct before the execution of the agreed service.
- Unexpected technical interruptions.
- Indirect losses arising from use of the site.
The Rovers' liability, where applicable, is limited to the value of the service effectively contracted.
8. Community
Posts, comments and photos shared in the community must respect third parties, be truthful and comply with the law. We reserve the right to moderate, remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
9. Cancellation and termination
You may request cancellation of your account or deletion of your data at any time (subject to applicable legal retention — see Privacy Policy).
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by South African law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Cape Town.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
